Canadian Odawa artist Sharon Trudeau* is earning a reputation for unique, fashion-conscious bead jewelry. She works both with Delica seed beads and with bone hair pipe beads. All of the gemstones used in her work are natural semi-precius stones or chalk turquise. Below are some of her hair pipe bead choker necklaces, traditional with a central abalone shell medallion, and contemporary with a beaded chain and pendant. Every piece of Sharon's high quality jewelry reflects her commitment to her art.

Canadian Odawa Sharon Trudeau’s traditional 4-strand choker made with natural bone hair pipe beads, chalk turquoise beads, silver tone roundels and leather spacers. Sharon uses natural materials to give the beads an antiqued look. The choker has a 1" diameter abalone shell medallion and comes with light gold leather ends and 8" long ties to fit most necks. Artist Sharon Trudeau (Odawa Canada) made this 4-strand choker using bone hair pipe beads, chalk turquoise beads and silver tone roundels. The choker has a natural buffalo tooth pendant on a beaded chain, and white leather spacers, ends and ties. This 4-strand choker was made by Canadian Odawa Sharon Trudeau using natural bone hair pipe beads, turquoise beads and silver tone roundels. Sharon uses a natural dye to give the hair pipe beads an antique look. The choker is finished with a 1" diameter abalone shell medallion and light gold spacers, ends and ties to coordinate with the beads. *About Sharon Trudeau:
 Sharon is better known by her Odawa name Waawaaskonenhens. She was born to the Three Fires Odawa Nation in Canada, part of the Wikwemikong unceded Reserve---a place known world-wide for beautiful artwork. At an early age, Sharon began creating works of art using pencils, pen, charcoal, pastel and paints. Mid-way through life, Sharon chose to put down her pencils and brushes and pick up a beading needle. Today she creates unique, one-of-a-kind pieces combining traditional designs and materials with a contemporary feel. A member of the IACA, Sharon is an award-winning, juried artist whose pieces incorporate bone, horn, shell, deerskin, stones and other natural materials.
